These Affiliate Program Terms ("Affiliate Terms") govern participation in the AutoEco Affiliate Program (the "Program"), operated by `[LEGAL ENTITY NAME]`. They supplement our [Terms of Service](terms.md). By joining the Program, you ("Affiliate", "you") agree to these Affiliate Terms.

## 1. Enrollment

- Participation requires an approved affiliate account. We may accept or reject applications at our discretion.
- You must provide accurate information, including valid payout details, and keep it up to date.
- You must be at least 18 years old and comply with all applicable laws, including disclosure requirements for affiliate relationships (e.g., FTC endorsement guidelines or local equivalents).

## 2. Commission Structure

- **Commission rates are configurable by the program administrator.** The current rates — including whether commissions are one-time or recurring, and any per-plan differences — are always shown in your affiliate dashboard. The dashboard is the authoritative source for the rates in effect.
- Commissions are earned on qualifying purchases made by referred customers who sign up through your unique referral link and complete payment.
- Qualifying purchases exclude: fraudulent transactions, self-referrals, refunded or chargebacked orders, and purchases violating our terms.
- If a referred customer receives a refund or initiates a chargeback, the associated commission will be reversed or withheld.

## 3. Tracking and Cookie Duration

- Referrals are tracked via your unique link using cookies and/or other attribution methods.
- **Cookie/attribution duration is configurable by the program administrator**; the current duration is shown in the affiliate dashboard.
- Attribution generally follows a last-click model unless otherwise stated in the dashboard. We are not responsible for tracking failures caused by user settings, cleared cookies, ad blockers, or technical issues outside our control.

## 4. Minimum Payout Threshold and Schedule

- Commissions are payable once your approved balance reaches the **minimum payout threshold** shown in the affiliate dashboard.
- **Payout schedule:** approved commissions are paid on a regular cycle (e.g., monthly, with a holding period of [e.g., 30] days after the qualifying purchase to account for refunds and chargebacks). Exact timing and holding periods are stated in the dashboard.
- Payouts are made via the payment methods listed in the dashboard. You are responsible for any taxes, fees, or reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.

## 5. Self-Referral Prohibition

- You may not use your own referral link to purchase a plan for yourself or for accounts you control.
- Self-referrals are void: no commission will be paid, and repeated attempts may result in removal from the Program.

## 6. Prohibited Promotion Methods

You must not promote your referral link through:

- **Spam:** unsolicited bulk emails, messages, comments, or posts, or any promotion violating anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR/ePrivacy, CASL, or similar);
- **Trademark bidding:** purchasing ads on "AutoEco", our brand name, misspellings, or confusingly similar terms in search engines or ad networks, or using our trademarks in ad copy in a misleading way;
- **Misleading claims:** false or unsupported statements about the Service (e.g., "free money", "guaranteed savings", "predicts future market prices"), fake discounts, or fake scarcity. In particular, do not claim AutoEco can tell a user whether a vehicle is safe or mechanically sound — it cannot;
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, pop-unders, or other deceptive tracking techniques;
- Incentivized sign-ups that result in fraudulent or low-quality accounts, or paying users to sign up through your link where not expressly permitted;
- Promotion on sites or channels containing illegal, hateful, or adult content, or that otherwise could damage our brand.

## 7. Program Changes

We may modify commission rates, cookie duration, thresholds, payout schedules, or these Affiliate Terms at any time. Changes apply prospectively and will be reflected in the affiliate dashboard and/or communicated with reasonable notice. Commissions already earned and approved under prior terms are not retroactively reduced.

## 8. Termination

- Either party may end participation at any time. You may leave the Program by discontinuing use of your link and notifying us.
- We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately for fraud, violation of these Affiliate Terms, violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, or conduct that harms the Service or our reputation.
- Upon termination for fraud or breach, unpaid commissions may be forfeited. Upon termination without cause, legitimately earned, approved commissions above the payout threshold will be paid on the normal schedule.

## 9. Relationship

Affiliates are independent contractors. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship. You have no authority to bind `[LEGAL ENTITY NAME]` or make commitments on our behalf.
